Protection (including Child Protection)

HEARDO integrates protection and child protection principles across its humanitarian and development programming to reduce risks, prevent harm, and promote the safety and dignity of vulnerable populations. The organization implements protection mainstreaming approaches that identify and mitigate risks related to gender-based violence, child protection concerns, exclusion, and exploitation, while ensuring safe referrals to appropriate services. HEARDO applies strong safeguarding, PSEA, and child protection measures throughout the project cycle and promotes community awareness and social and behavior change to address harmful practices. Through risk-informed programming and survivor-centered approaches, HEARDO strengthens protective environments for children, women, and other at-risk groups while upholding “do no harm” and accountability principles.
