WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
HEARDO implements integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) interventions to improve access to safe water, adequate sanitation facilities, and healthy hygiene practices among vulnerable and crisis-affected communities. Through community-based hygiene promotion, safe water use education, and behavior change approaches, HEARDO works to reduce waterborne diseases and public health risks, particularly for women, children, pregnant and lactating women, and other marginalized groups. WASH programming is closely coordinated with health, nutrition, and emergency response activities to ensure a holistic and preventive impact. All WASH interventions are delivered in line with humanitarian standards and are supported by strong safeguarding, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and MEAL systems to ensure quality, inclusiveness, and sustainability of outcomes.
